The California Bar Exam is a 2-day exam. Day 1 consists of three essay questions in the AM, then two essay questions and one 90-min performance test in the PM. Day 2 is the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE), a 200-question, multiple-choice exam (100 questions in the AM, 100 questions in the PM). Essay questions are designed to be answered in 1 hour.
I took the July 2019 CA exam. The same day I learned I failed it, I got hit by a car in Vegas. I took the Feb 2020 CA exam afterwards. Today, I learned that I failed again but I have been NOT hit by a car (yet). Now I LIVE in Vegas too. tl;dr - you might fail the BAR but it's better than being an irl torts MBE question.

After the State Bar of California leaked essay topics prior to last week’s bar exam, the no-show rate for the exam rose from previous years and hundreds of applicants are asking for refunds.
The February 2020 Cal Bar Exam pass rate was 26.8% for General Bar Exam applicants and 39.1% for the Attorneys' Exam. According to the General Bar Exam Pass Rate Summary, the 26.8% result is the lowest pass rate in at least 69 years. The document reports back to the Fall 1951 exam, and today's result is the lowest pass rate reported.
